Who We Are
Derin Klos is a European destination wedding and celebration studio built specifically for the diaspora couple: the Nigerian-British bride planning in Tuscany, the Indian-Australian couple choosing Portugal, the Ghanaian-American family bringing both worlds together in France.
We plan luxury weddings and milestone celebrations across Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Poland, the UK and beyond, entirely from where you are, across every time zone, with a specific understanding of what it means to celebrate in Europe while honouring the cultures that made you.
Founded by Derin; ex-finance, detail-obsessed, and a diaspora bride herself, this studio exists because the planner who truly understood what it means to celebrate across two cultures, from a distance, in Europe, did not exist. So she became her.
Client Love
There is something extraordinary about watching someone you love operate at the height of their professional ability, and then getting to be the beneficiary of it. Derin is my partner. She is also, without question, the reason our wedding was everything we dreamt it could be and more things we had not thought to dream. We had forty guests from three countries, two cultures, and two languages. She found a venue where everyone stayed under one roof , which sounds simple until you understand what it took to find the right property, negotiate the terms, coordinate arrivals from Nigeria and the UK, manage transfers from the airport, and ensure that guests who spoke only Polish and guests who spoke only English never once felt on the outside of their own celebration.
The food was a fusion of both our cultures, present and equal across every meal. The DJ understood the rhythm of a Nigerian reception and a Polish one, which is not a small thing and was not easily found. Every vendor was chosen with intention. The florists, the photographers, the videographers, all of them understood the brief and delivered against it. The result was a weekend our guests have not stopped talking about. Two families who had never been in the same country found each other. A space that held two worlds felt, the entire time, like one.
I cannot recommend Derin enough, as a planner, and as the person who knew exactly what this weekend needed to be before I had the words for it myself.
